Southampton based video production company Southpoint Films Ltd have opened a brand new studio facility in Totton, Southampton. The space, which features green screen facilities and high end video editing suites, is located next door to Totton train station, which puts it on a direct line to and from London. The move marks the second relocation for the growing business since it took occupation of a serviced office in Ocean Village in June of last year.
The company, which was founded by Southampton Solent University graduate Rowan Johnson in 2013, has seen rapid growth over the past two years, growing from a one-man startup business renting a hot desk in an open plan office to a team of four working from their own, independent studio facility.
“We’re really fortunate to have a grown so quickly in such a competitive industry. While there are many people out there who can pick up a camera and make an acceptable film, our business has proven that the market is prepared to invest in quality and service. Our biggest strength is that we’re able to work flexibly and to an exceptionally high standard, and moving to a new premises where we’re able to grow our team and offer new services is essential for maintaining our high standards and fast turnarounds without having to raise our costs past affordable to make that happen.” says Managing Director, Rowan Johnson.
