Take A Look At Our New Edit Suite (Photos)

We’re delighted to pull the wraps off our new edit suite facility, which features 4K capable non-linear editing equipment, high end audio mixing and mastering monitors, and full VR video reviewing capabilities.

The recently renovated space, which was fitted out by New Forest firm NFC Contracts, provides us with much needed space to grow our post-production services. The suite has space for clients to sit beside the editor and review work in progress, and provides our editors with a better resource for creating high quality videos.

The new edit suite compliments our existing studio space, which is home to a permanent green screen and voice-over booth, as well as general office space for day to day business administration and pre-production.

 “I’m very excited by our new edit suite” says Rowan Johnson, founder of Southpoint Films. “We’ve spent many years building our strengths when it comes to capturing video footage, investing in new 4K cameras, drones, 360° VR cameras, and also with our studio space, but we’ve never had a dedicated space solely for editing videos. This new edit suite elevates us so much further in terms of what we’re able to provide to clients, especially when it comes to reviewing projects, working on audio, and expanding our VR capabilities.”

Southpoint Films was founded in 2013 by Rowan Johnson, who started the company immediately after graduating from Solent University with a first class Ba(Hons) degree in Television and Video Production. Since then, Southpoint Films has worked with businesses and organisations such as the NHS, the University of Southampton and McKinsey & Company on a variety of corporate promotional and training videos.
