Admiral Lord Nelson School – Virtual Open Evening
Admiral Lord Nelson School is a secondary school in Portsmouth, situated in a beautiful, modern building unlike any other in the area.
Due to COVID-19, Admiral Lord Nelson School needed a way to show parents of prospective students the facilities, resources and academic capabilities of the school. This is where we came in.
Having seen a similar package that we’d produced for their sister school, Trafalgar School, ALNS were keen to use video. This would comprise of three parts; a headteacher welcome video, a parent FAQ and a virtual tour. Each video focusses on a different aspect of the school. For example, the virtual tour showcased all of the school’s facilities; whereas the Parent FAQ answered common questions that new parents typically have.
Over the course of two days, we produced three videos for ALNS. We interviewed Headteacher Nysrene Hardingham to get an overview of the school. We interview Assistant Headteacher Katie Holness for the Parent FAQ video. And we went around the school capturing lessons, the facilities and also aerial footage of the campus. We also captured a number of photographs, which will be used for the school’s marketing in the future.
The end result is a package of videos and photos which are now being used to give parents a clear idea of what Admiral Lord Nelson School can provide their children.
