University of Southampton – LifeLab VR Vaping Experience
We were really excited to collaborate with the University of Southampton’s LifeLab on this immersive 360º animated VR experience. This project aims to address and highlight the pressures on young people to start vaping, with the goal of discouraging them from starting the habit.
Working alongside university researchers and LifeLab’s Youth Panel, we produced this compelling VR experience which takes you, the viewer, through a virtual city to highlight how peer pressure and advertising encourages the use of vapes.
We’re proud to have contributed to such an impactful initiative and we’re confident that it’ll significantly aid efforts to curb vaping among young people. Already, the project has been showcased by ITV Meridian who gave it positive news coverage. Check out the article here. We look forward to seeing more positive effects in the future.
Although we’ve been producing high-quality 360° Virtual Reality content since 2015, this was our first 3D animated VR project. This style of VR video production enabled us to fully realise the imaginations of LifeLab’s Youth Panel, a committee of teenagers who work directly with LifeLab to shape the project; from scripting and storyboarding to offering input on each revision. Two of the panel even voiced the video!
This project was an excellent example of how a collaborative approach can deliver excellent results. Ready to see how 360° VR can benefit your business? Let’s talk!
