International Women’s Day 2023 – #EmbraceEquity

Once again, this year we’re showing our support for International Women’s Day by striking a pose to #EmbraceEquity.

We know that gender equality in the video production industry is an issue and that women are massively underrepresented in both creative and technical roles.We also know that equal doesn’t always mean fair.

If the industry wants to work towards equality, then we have to start to #EmbraceEquity, because true inclusion only happens when you give people what they individually need to be successful, rather than giving everyone the same thing.

And that’s our aim at Southpoint Films, to think about, know, value and embrace equity, to challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion, so that more people can thrive in this industry.
