Active Silicon – Product Set Up Tutorial Video

Active Silicon is a leading specialist in the design and manufacturing of advanced computer imaging products and embedded vision systems. Their cameras are typically integrated into complex systems, machines, drones, or automated vehicles. However, before customers can fully install and utilise these high-tech cameras, they need a clear understanding of the testing process. That’s where we came in!

To assist Active Silicon‘s customers, we were tasked with producing a product set up tutorial video for their Harrier 23x and 52x AF-Zoom IP cameras. The goal of the video was to demonstrate the setup and registration process, making it easy for users to prepare the cameras for testing and installation.

The video begins with an engineer demonstrating the physical setup of the cameras. This involved presenting the Harrier cameras and the necessary evaluation kit, and showing how to connect the evaluation board to the camera, and then to a PC via a network adapter. Because the Harrier cameras are small and compact, we captured extreme close-ups of the components, ensuring a clear view of the intricate parts.

The second part of the product set up tutorial video focuses on using an online application to register and control the camera. To demonstrate this we used a screen recording to guide viewers through the process.

The final video delivered exactly what Active Silicon needed: a clear, concise, and highly detailed tutorial that could be used by their customers to confidently set up and test the Harrier 23x and 52x AF-Zoom IP cameras.

This project is a great example of how we can adapt our filming techniques to accommodate technical products and deliver content that educates users.
