Canon Festival of Cameras – Our Case Study at Boomtown

We recently had the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with Canon Europe for a “Festival of Cameras” profile during our time at Boomtown Festival. It was a wonderful experience to have such a prestigious manufacturer document our workflow at one of the UK’s most vibrant and technically demanding music festivals.

Our team was responsible for the multi-camera production across two of the festival’s largest stages: Grand Central and Origin. To capture the scale and energy of these performances, we deployed a comprehensive Canon camera package. This setup included a mix of brand new Cinema EOS C400 cameras for a high-end cinematic look, professional camcorders for reliability, and PTZ cameras to get into those hard-to-reach places.

What makes this event special is the sheer complexity of the technical execution. Bridging the gap between the creative vision of the artists and the technical requirements of a live outside broadcast is exactly what we love to do. Working in a fast-paced festival environment presents unique challenges – from managing complex cabling to dealing with the unpredictable British weather – but it’s where our team truly excels.

We’re incredibly grateful to Canon for highlighting our work and to the Boomtown team for trusting us with their event coverage. Seeing our technical solutions showcased by a global industry leader is a proud milestone for us. We hope this behind-the-scenes look gives you a clear idea of the scale of projects we can handle.
